| Lisa
Hinni, LPC, NCC completed an undergraduate degree in Zoology and Chemistry
at Southeast MO State University in 1982, and earned her dual Masters
Degree in Professional and School Counseling at Lindenwood University.
She is board certified and licensed to practice counseling and therapy
in the State of Missouri. Lisa is a member of the American Counseling
Association’s national and state chapters. Her lifelong interest in science
and psychology has shaped a working knowledge of the mind-body connection
and its overall impact on human functioning. In addition to her private
practice, Lisa is a part-time Child, Youth and Family Therapist with Youth
in Need, and also spends one day a week facilitating therapeutic groups
and providing in-school therapy services for adolescents. She presents
workshops and has been a guest speaker for local groups and organizations
specializing in parenting and family issues.
Lisa specializes in family counseling and the therapeutic treatment
of troubled adolescents. She also treats adolescents and adults with mood
and anxiety disorders, including post-partum depression. Other areas of
focus are couples counseling and marriage counseling, grief & loss,
stress & anger, existential themes of mid-life, crisis counseling,
and intensive therapy for victims of crime and abuse.
